Advertising Brochures
I have a number of old advertising brochures and other sales literature in my collection. The brochures featured on this page summarize the performance and effectiveness of ADT services in the 1930s and 1940s.
The brochures are printed 2-sided on 5.5″ x 7.0″ paper. The printed sheets are then folded in half on either the horizontal or vertical axis. The finished product is a 4-page postcard size brochure formatted either horizontally of vertically.
Brochures prior to 1936 are printed on heavy 110-weight card stock, while later brochures are printed on glossy 20-weight paper.
The brochures listed below have all been scanned and saved in .PDF format. For most horizontally formatted brochures the .PDF files contain individual scans of all four pages.
A few horizontally formatted brochures and all vertically formatted brochures contain two scans. Pages 4 and 1 are on the first scan, and pages 2 and 3 are on the second scan. (In the scan of horizontally formatted brochures page 4 is inverted compared to page 1 because of the horizontal fold.)

Aero Automatic Fire Alarm
This brochure summarizes the performance of Aero Automatic Fire Alarm Systems in preventing loss from fire in 1933. The last bullet on page 3 makes a bold statement about the effectiveness of Aero in preventing loss from fire. “(Aero’s) record compares favorably with the fire loss record for properties protected by supervised automatic sprinkler systems.”

Aero Advertising Brochure
The Aero sales and marketing brochure below is undated. Based on the type of paper it is printed on, and the layout and style of the content, I estimate it to be from around 1935.
