The DX Marathon
Have an interest in HF & DX, but find yourself lacking the motivation to become more radio-active? If so, the DX Marathon may be the answer you are looking for.
What is the DX Marathon you ask?
It’s a year long event that starts anew every January 1. The objective of the DX Marathon is similar to a contest, but much more simple: just work as many different DX countries/entities and CQ Zones as you can between January 1 and December 31, 2025. A new challenge will start on January 1, 2026.
How is the DX Marathon scored?
Scoring is easy. Countries/entities and CQ zones count only once regardless of band and/or mode. That means there is no need to waste your time contacting other stations in the same country, or contacting the same country on different bands and modes . Your attention can be focused on finding and working the new ones. At year end, plaques are awarded to the leaders in a variety of categories.
