FLASH NEWS – Hurricane season 2025 officially starts on June 1. Recognizing the important role amateur radio plays in supporting our communities during hurricanes, Treasure Coast Ham News has come out of retirement to compile a 2025 Hurricane Preparedness issue.

Some articles in this special issue were previously published over the years. But regardless if a longtime resident, or a newcomer to the area, you should find them of interest. View or download the newsletter here: Hurricane Prep 2025.

All issues from the entire five year run of Treasure Coast Ham News are available for viewing or download from the Archive Page.

Background

Treasure Coast Ham News was an inclusive effort to showcase events and activities of interest to hams throughout the Treasure Coast and South Florida, while at the same time offering articles and stories of educational and entertainment interest.

We are proud to say that feedback from readers indicates we accomplished our mission.

Throughout its five year run, the newsletter remained independent of local area radio clubs. The publishers, two local hams who assumed the name B&B Publishing Partners, are members of several local radio clubs, but not specifically aligned with any one area club.

We intend to continue monitoring and reporting on the activities of all the numerous clubs within the Treasure Coast of Florida. With the newsletter now retired, our future efforts will be directed toward reporting on this web site.
